 Jönsson is bred by Eva and Hasse Jönsson. Jönsson was as a puppy BIS-2 both at Nåntuna and Sala GRKs open shows. After a rather hesitant debut at the official shows, Jönsson won the junior class with ck at the prestigious Skokloster show in May 2005.

The research of the inherited disease Sensory Atactic Neuropathy in Golden retrievers has demonstrated that the disease most likely is inherited via the mitochondriell DNA and therefore is only inherited from the bitch to her progeny. A candidate mitochondriell gene is under investigation. Jönsson is therefore now finally at stud, since he is not a carrier of SAN.
